HOW TO GET A HEAD START BEFORE THE CLASS DATE

--THESE ARE THINGS YOU CAN SAFELY DO BEFORE THE CLASS DATE.  IF YOU MEET EVEN A COUPLE OF THESE, IT WILL SAVE YOU PRECIOUS TIME.

Download the forms from www.dmv.ca.gov  Do NOT fill them out yet.  Just download them for now.  In class we will show you tips on how to meet the requirements for cheap.  NOTE:  You will see a huge list of forms, but you only will need a few of them, so if you wait until class, we will tell you the ones you need to download.

Think of a business name.   Even if you are selling one car at a time, the DMV needs a name for your car business.   

Get your Live Scan fingerprints done.  You must visit a local DMV to pick up a  DMV 8016 original form.  You can get it from the information desk.  We recommend taking the form to the nearest Sheriff's Department to have your prints taken.

Bring a business partner or two to the class.  Even small businesses are cheaper if there are several owners on the license.  What's nice is the DMV will let you have many owners sharing one license!  This makes it cheaper and easier to maintain the license and you can ALL get into the auctions.
